About Mindworks Yoga, Counselling & Therapy

Our Vision

To create an inviting space in our community where people can experience the choice and empowerment that comes with a trauma-sensitive yoga practice. We are committed to providing a shared authentic experience, fostering a connected community and promoting holistic healing through movement, counselling and therapy.

Our Values

At Mindworks Yoga, Counselling & Therapy, we firmly believe in social justice, respect and compassion for all people. We acknowledge our priviledge and vulnerabilities, and hope to serve our community with dignity and integrity. Our facilitator has experience working in homelessness, domestic and family violence, youthwork, child protection, mental health and suicide intervention.

Your Facilitator

Amy Brooks is a qualified social worker, mental health clinician, rehabilitation counsellor and yoga facilitator certified in Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), the first yoga-based empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).  She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and passionately believes in its healing qualities for the mind and body, making it an effective adjunct therapy for mental health work. Amy began offering yoga classes to the community in 2023, combining her professional training and lived experience as a source of strength to guide others on their own journey towards recovery. Amy is a registered NDIS provider and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
