We offer a hybrid of Vinyasa and Hatha based on trauma-sensitive yoga methodology, depending on the capabilities of the group and their preferences. Seasoned yogis may find the movements more simple than "regular" studio yoga.
A yoga session that feels welcoming and movement that is choice-based and gentle. A space that is safe and free from judgement, led by a faciliator who is approachable and knowledgeable in mental health. There will be no hands-on assists, sanskrit, nor essential oils or incense. Green noise (nature sounds) will be played and the final resting shape will be limited to just a few minutes.
All yoga props will be provided for use but you are welcome to bring your own and maybe a bottle of water. Please wear clothing that will allow your body to move comfortably. Shoes are not required.
Yoga is scientifically proven to be beneficial for both physical and mental health. When practiced with a trauma-sensitive method in a group setting, it can offer the person a mind and body approach towards well-being, resilience and connection.
