Suitable for participants with a psychosocial disability or mental health condition who are interested in using a holistic approach towards building functional capacity for long-term recovery.
What to expect
Your first Capacity Building session will involve an extensive consultation and biopsychosocial assessment to identify therapy goals and develop a treatment plan. Capacity Building supports may include body movements, grounding techniques, skills building, relaxation and mindfulness, and Focussed Psychological Strategies. Core Support works on developing skills to access community, social and recreational activities. There may be opportunities to practice in a small group setting to increase social and community participation. Reports are not available under Core Support.
About your therapist
Amy is a qualified social worker, mental health clinician, rehabilitation counsellor and yoga facilitator certified in Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), the first yoga-based empirically validated, clinical intervention for complex trauma or chronic, treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Amy is a registered NDIS provider and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Yes, we are a registered with the NDIS (Provider ID 4-KL19Z4Q) under group 0128 Therapeutic Supports.
It is suitable for most abilities. The sessions are co-designed with you based on your physical and cognitive requirements but contact us in advance to discuss further. The studio is wheelchair accessible and there are free on-street parking available outside the building.
Assistive exercise props will be provided for use but you are welcome to bring your own. Please wear clothing that will allow your body to move freely.
Home visits within the Shoalhaven region can be arranged and will incur a travel fee depending on distance. Online sessions available via Zoom.
Yes, you can bring up to 1 person (must be your carer or support worker) to accompany you during your session. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Support animals are welcome.
A fee equal to the booked session fee may be charged for 'no-show', cancellations or reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice before your appointment time.
